Customisable Factory Automation Panel
A modular panel that moves the calculation model a production plant had run in spreadsheets for years into a testable, production-ready web application. The calculation engine runs independently of the interface and reproduces the results of the source files exactly.
It is built on three principles: no business rule is invented, and no calculation is applied unless it is verified in the source; no business parameter is hard-coded, everything from VAT to yield is supplied externally; history is immutable, so the rates used when a quote is created are frozen on the document and old calculations stay intact even if parameters change later.
On top of this come a role and permission model, an audit log, and modules for quotes, production, warehouse, notifications and reporting. The panel is customised for each plant; calculation rules and modules are derived from the business's own practice. The client's name is not disclosed.
